PROGRAM OVERVIEW

TEAM:  Continuing Education Units for in-depth non-credit courses offered at the UGST campus.


CERTIFICATE:  Classes taught over a 8-10 hour period on a Friday evening and all day Saturday at your church or district.

NORTHEAST TRAINING CENTER:  There are two levels of the program.  Each level consists of a ten-course program of ministerial training ending with a Certificate of Completion.

LIFE CHAPLAIN TRAINING:  UGST has joined with the LIFE Chaplain training program to provide the required education component for a LIFE Chaplain.

FAQ about TEAM

What is TEAM? 

TEAM is designed to provide training for pastors, ministers, and lay ministry who are interested in developing their ministry skills but do not have the required academic background for Seminary.

The program integrates personal and spiritual formation with content-based learning in Bible, theology, leadership and ministry skills in a practical way.  The program is designed for adult learners and emphasizes self-directed learning through experience, learning that grows out of a need to meet day-to-day real-life problems, and learning that can be immediately applied.

Whether you have a Bible College degree, Associate degree from a community college, or no degree, these classes are for you.

How do these classes differ from a certificate class? 

TEAM classes have more hours, allowing the allotment of Continuing Education Unit (CEU) hours.  

TEAM classes are offered at a higher level than the regular certificate program with assignments before and after each class and feedback from the professors.  

TEAM classes are held on the UGST campus where you will be able to enjoy the climate and atmosphere of the graduate school.
Team Classes meet 8 hours a day.

After attending a UGST TEAM class, you will return to your place of ministry refreshed, sharpened, educated, and better equipped to meet the everyday demands of ministry. This program is not another seminar designed to take up your time, but it provides in-depth, useful, and meaningful teaching.

TEAM is an excellent resource to which you can bring your entire ministerial staff and qualify for the group rate.

What does it cost? 

The tuition cost of a TEAM course for one person is only $125 per CEU.

2 CEU’S (2 days) $250
3 CEU’S (3 days) $375
4 CEU’S (4 days) $500

Group rate is as follows:

$125/CEU, 1st person; $100/CEU, 2nd person; $85/CEU, each additional person 

This means that a group of 3 could attend a 2 CEU course for just $620. 

Cost for additional resources such as textbooks or other materials required by the instructor for the class will be in addition to the tuition.
